“Why does my itallian sausage suck so much tonight?”

*flashes back to earlier in the week when he was at the hippy grocery store in town*

“Oh. Spicy itallian sausage. Turkey eh? Well, give it a shot!”

*flash back to present*
“Noooooooooooooooooooo!”

It’s Seed Institute meeting prep week. I’ve resolved not to let it get to me this year. I’m capable of doing what I’m capable of, and if something doesn’t get done in time, I’m not a bad person.

Good on the nation for doing the right thing. Now comon’ California. No on 8. Don’t like same sex marriage? DON’T GET MARRIED TO SOMEONE OF THE SAME SEX.

Don’t be on the wrong side of history. In 30 years we’ll look back on this in shame.

Oh and to Elizabeth Dole:  Take that you witch!

Put your finger down my throat
If I shiver, please give me a blanket
Keep me warm, let me wear your coat

Summer is a lean time for graduate students.

If you make $1800 a month, when the university starts pulling out $200 for some cryptic reason in the summer (why do I need to contribute to my retirement fund in the summer, but not the rest of the year?) and you have to eat an extra $100 in rent because one of your housemates moved out, it is a hit to the funding.

Looking forward to the next paycheck though. They stop taking money out, and we’re getting a raise from $24,000 to $26,000 a year. I have 10 years of quality university education, and I get to make a third of what my younger sister makes. AWESOME.
